What we fund
Our grant funding is focused on programs that impact individuals and families in need of services supporting Health and Wellness, Education, Social issues, Services effecting Children, Veteran Services and Animal Welfare in Palm Beach County.
EDUCATION
We support programs that further literacy and education for Palm Beach County residents, including those residents with low income and those with learning disabilities.
HEALTH & WELLNESS
We support programs and initiatives that help children, adults and families who are suffering with physical and/or psychological issues.
SOCIAL SERVICES
We support programs that provide help in the areas of nutrition, self-sufficiency and relationship counseling.
CHILD SERVICES
We support programs that ensure that children can learn, develop and grow, regardless of physical and/or mental challenges or family circumstances.
VETERANS SERVICES
We support programs that aid disabled military veterans who need help with the costs and burdens associated with physical and/or psychological care.
ANIMAL WELFARE
We support programs dedicated to the protection and conservation of wildlife, and those that aid abused and abandoned pets.
What We Do Not Fund
- Individuals or Private Foundations
- Services provided outside of Palm Beach County
- Grants for sectarian or religious purposes
- Political lobbying / campaigning / candidacies
- National organizations without an active local chapter benefiting Palm Beach County Residents
- Multi-year Grants, debt reduction, bridge loans
All applicants much be in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service and a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
Important Dates
The 2025 Online Grant Application window opens on October 1, 2024
The 2025 Grant Application window closes on December 1, 2024
Applicants will be notified of Grant Funding status in April, 2025
Process
After a review and discussion of all grant requests, the Grants Committee will present to the Foundation Board of Directors an assessment of all applications it would like to be considered for funding. Even though a project meets established criteria, it may not be selected because of limited funds or other reasons.
Grant Awards
After a grant request is approved by our Board, the selected organization will be notified. The amount to be awarded will be determined as a result of our fundraising efforts.
Notification of Denial or Acceptance of Grant Request
Upon completion of the review of the applications, applicants will be notified if their grant request was either denied or accepted for consideration of a grant.
Although all selected organizations will receive a financial grant, the amount may not be the full amount requested.
The expectation is that Grant checks will be distributed in The second quarter of 2025.
All Grant recipients are required to complete a Grant Accountability Report detailing how their Grant Award was spent and measured against the projected goal.

Process
1. Register
Click on the "Register" link and complete and submit the registration form.
2. Login
Login to the award with your email and password.
3. Create
Create your online application.
4. Save
During the Call for Applications period, your application can be saved as DRAFT until all the required information is completed and attachments uploaded. As each section is complete, you will see a appear in the category tab when the application is saved. At any time, you can download and print your application by clicking on the icon in the Application Summary section.
5. Submit
On completion, save your Nomination as FINAL. Download and print a copy of your application for your records by clicking on the icon in the Application Summary section in the right column. Note: If an update is required prior to the Call for Applications period, you can make the update and resave as FINAL.
